Additional Revenue Opportunities

We are looking for suggestions from the membership as to further ways we can raise money and increase the earning potential of the club.  Revenue from the wind turbine and any future benefit from the land will take time to come to fruition.  In the meantime should you have any thoughts from “outside the box” please speak up to a member of the committee in person or drop an email to  We are keen for the wider membership to get involved and all suggestions will be considered.

 9 Hole Medals

These are now underway and we have had two in May.  The intention is to hold two of these medals per month.  They are a great way for an even more sociable game as they are open to all categories playing together – men, women and juniors.

29 members took part in today’s competition and a further 5 used this form for a card for handicap.  Well done to Alistair Johnston, Wednesday 31st May winner with a whopping 23 points for “The Flat Nine” course.

The next 9 hole medal is on Sunday the 11th of June and will be “The Front Nine“ course.

Recent Scores

The recent good weather has produced some great scoring with Alyson Hutton cutting her handicap by 4.5 strokes in less than a week.  Jim Anderson had a superb gross 65 last Saturday and still was beaten in the medal.

Great to see these handicaps tumbling – long may it continue.

Hope to see you on the course soon.
