Unfortunately the Senior Open for 2017 is now officially cancelled for this year, hopefully for 2018 we will have better weather and a larger entry.

A massive well done to Tommy Gibson who aced the 18th Hole on Saturday in the Autumn Gents competition, a fantastic achievement on such a tough Par 3. Congratulations Tommy on your outstanding feat, a great finish to a good round as well.

The Ladies Open went ahead on Sunday despite the weather. Well done to Ann McKenzie and May Hunter of Old Ranfurly golf club won the trophy under somewhat testing and challenging conditions. A huge thank you to the ladies of Skelmorlie who took part, for the many men of the club who helped and their valiant efforts in ball spotting under difficult conditions but particularly to all our visitors for coming along and taking part, we appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you again next year. We promise we will try and organize better weather !!

Well done to Malcolm Nicolson who won the Autumn meeting on Saturday with an excellent net 62, just edging out John Burrows also with a 62, with Malky having the better inward half. Well done to Robert McKenzie with an excellent gross 69, the best of the day among some very good scoring. Some very good overall scoring on possibly the best weather day of what was a very wet week.

CANCELLED - I'm sorry to say that, due to forecast adverse weather conditions and the already high level of water on the course, we will have to cancel the Skelmorlie Seniors Open Competition tomorrow. No alternative date has been set at this point but rescheduling options will be considered in due course. All players who have already paid, will have their entry fee returned. Once again, I'm sorry we have had to take this decision and please pass the message on to any other players you may have intended to bring with you.
